Students Receive Financial Literacy

Orange County Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.  Through a community-based network of volunteer role-models, educators, and businesses, Junior Achievement strives to improve the quality of life for all students by providing them with the economic and financial knowledge needed to transition into adulthood.

The wonderful volunteers spent over 1 hour in each classroom working with all students they taught common core aligned lessons that promoted entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work-readiness.  JA helps prepare youth for the real world by showing them how to recognize the economic relevance of excelling in school, creating jobs which make their communities more robust, applying entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace, and how to generate wealth and effectively manage it.
